PRINT SALE FOR DEMOCRACY to benefit the CARTER CENTER.
From now until Election Day I will be donating 100% of proceeds from select print sales to varied organizations promoting democracy and justice. This print's proceeds will benefit the esteemed CARTER CENTER, founded by Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. "The charity works globally to support democratic elections and strengthen participatory democracy, consistent with human rights."
As I have been working on my Obama collections, I have been struck by the joy and poignancy of his Election night in Chicago in 2008, and will begin the fundraising with this never-before seen photograph. I was so fortunate to be there with my camera, documenting the unbridled outpouring of emotion that permeated the crowd of all ages, races, genders. I am happy to share this image with you at this most important of moments in our democratic history.
