The Year of the Horse, and I feel more ready than ever.

Entering it with the very best mare at my side and a herd of healthy horses behind her full of strength, care, and possibility.

So eager to bring horses, food, adventure and photographs together in 2026.

It has to be a good year for all of us, we’re horse girls!

I sure do like those colors.

When I first started photography, my editing was… bad. Like, really bad. The light was flat, the colors were dull, ironically very on trend right now. 😂

It took years of studying photographs and art, and a lot of time learning post-production, to get my images to a place where I felt like I’d found and nailed my style.

I love when photographers can pull off a cinematic look, but I think that approach only works when the way you see and shoot truly matches it.

For me, and especially in food photography, the color and the light have always been beautiful on their own. I’ve never wanted to overpower that, only to enhance what’s already there.

Don’t mind standing at this sink, using this faucet, washing dishes and wiping down the counters anymore. Quality, thoughtful design and well made materials really do matter. 💛 A ton of thought and time searching went into this.. not to mention our hard earned money. Happy to report we are quite smitten with the results. ☺️

While not as much time was spent gardening this season, because the kitchen renovation took most of my bandwidth, I’m still proud of the planting I did early on in Spring.

The Yarrow, Russian Sage, Chinese Skullcap and Feather Grass really took off and grew, and the Sedum is still blooming 😍. The blueberries produced an abundant amount that will last us through winter, and my favorite plant, Lamb’s Ear, absolutely loves the soil and sunshine out here.

I recently had a representative with the Yamhill Conservation Society out to chat about our land and the ideas I have. This place has a lot of potential, and I’m super excited to have help from an organization that believes in conservation, regenerative farming and building natural habitats.

The garden will grow ☺️💛

She is here, she is installed, and she is cookin’! We wasted no time there.

Will share our full kitchen remodel reveal soon, but wanted to show a few images of our first uses with the Prestige Range.

We are in love! The crust has been perfect on bread and pizza, confited home grown tomatoes wonderfully, and slow cooked an Elk roast to perfection. 🤌🏼🔥
