This was the best audio message I’ve ever received from a film and I’ll try to share why:
First off, I loved hearing their thoughts right after they watched our film. Their words just feel so alive and authentic compared to a written review written months later.
It’s giving me new wind in my sails as a creative, rather than running our business.
We put so much work into this career and each film. I mean, so many hours I’m embarrassed to say.
And for a couple like Lexie and Stephan, who are truly one of the coolest couples we’ve ever
met, to share words like this and be able to articulate the appreciation and gratitude they did, reminds me this career is such an honor.
Their words wrap up in a nutshell the reasons why:
1. I stare at a screen for countless hours per film. Moving Magenta’s and Cyan’s to the left or right 1 tick or 2 ticks to get the right color shift.
2. Make sure the compression threshold on the audio makes their words sit right above the music but doesn’t feel “in your face.”
3. Replacing all the beautiful B shots, with the one longer shot of the couple looking at each other a certain way.
It’s the 50,000 micro decisions that sometimes don’t feel worth it, but you hear a response like this and you just remember, it’s our God-given purpose in life to always give our absolute best and serve people with our whole heart.

Without you, we wouldn’t be able to create the films we do. You all have unique gifts and you all make wedding days so easy, seamless and so enjoyable. Thank you!
