I have been in your shoes.... finding the outfits, getting everyone ready, hoping the kids are in a good mood, hoping your husband doesn't complain too much about the heat...
Family photos are hard. The last time we got them, I said..."WHY do people do this?! It's SO MUCH WORK!"
But... I know why people do it.... because sooner than we care to admit, those little babies won't be babies. Even looking back at the previous year's photos, you'll think... "look how little they were... where did my baby go?!"
And so we do it. we fight the heat, we bribe them to be good, and hope for the best.
And as your photographer? I look for the little moments, its not always the "Everyone is looking and smiling picture" - Its you, smiling at your babies, it's them; holding hands, laughing, dancing, being their true selves.... its the way he looks at you.
That is my goal at every session. To leave you with something that feels real, because it's those little moments that matter the most.
