Thank you to the Autism Society of Southern Illinois for allowing me to photograph the color walk today! I had an absolute blast meeting families, watching people enjoy each other's company, and hanging out with everyone. Here are a few sneak peaks from today...

We just finished an 8 hour day shooting another wedding. This young lady has an amazing eye behind the lens, and I couldn't do days like today without her help. I want to say a big thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Copple for entrusting us to capturing your special day!

Thanks to the for allowing me to be a part of this! Our theme was super heros and one of these photos will be made into a puzzle, and the pieces will be sold to raise money for the society right here in Southern Illinios. After the puzzle is complete, the puzzle and donations will be donated back to the society!

I'm excited to announce helping with this fundraiser! Families and friends who have or know someone who has autism is invited to Castle Park in Carbondale on November 11th. I'm going to take photos and also make one photo into a 20" x 30" puzzle (or bigger). The pieces will be "sold" as donation, and when the puzzle is complete, we're donating the money raised and the puzzle back to the Southern Illinios Autism Society in Carbondale! This fundraiser is through my work, but the autism society is reaching out to anyone who would like to be involved, and I'm doing the same.

If you do come join us, but don't want your family member, friends, ect in the photo, that is perfectly fine. I'm still encouraging people to come out in support....and if you can't come please be hoping for pleasant weather!

Last weekend's family outing to Marlow's was a great way to spend the day! Also want to give a shout out to Lather Be Elsewhere soaps and Siren Saor. Here's a few photos of thier booths! Both were very professional and I had a great time hanging around thier products/services taking photos. Make sure to check them out!

Be sure to reserve your spot early!! Hopefully I'll be helping at this one as well! Come out and join the class. I love working the groups that come out and enjoy seeing other fellow photographers from all over the area!

Hot off the presses!

Friends of Giant City State Park will be hosting me for 1 FINAL, FREE "Outdoor Photography for Beginners" workshop on October 8th. I teach you some concepts that you can apply with your camera or camera phone and then we head out into the woods to practice as a group. Previous workshops have featured some of the area's top photographers and I expect that will be true again. If you have seen these in the past and haven't been able to make it or if you're just learning about this for the first time, then you really need to sign up for this one because I won't be doing any more after this. (Long story, can't elaborate right now, but it's all good).

Most of these have hit capacity in short order, so don't procrastinate. Call the Giant City Visitor Center at 618 457 4836 to reserve your spot!

If you are an experienced photographer who is willing and able to volunteer that day, I love having a high leader:participant ratio in the outdoor group sessions and would greatly appreciate your help.

I was granted permission to fish a private pond and as I walked around it through the trees, I found a big patch bamboo. It's not the best picture, but definitely a cool and unique thing to see in this area.
