I've been on a little bit of a hiatus with my photography so today I am jumping back into it! While I am waiting for my little one to wake up, my oldest wanted some photos taken of her and her giant elephant lol. Hopefully both of my girls will be happy little models for me! So far it's going pretty well :) Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I don't know about anyone else, but I am very excited for SPRING! I am ready to step outside and shed my winter coat! So in anticipation of spring, I'm thinking of offering some spring mini-photography sessions. I'm still working out the details, but I'd like to do those outside, sometime in April, 30 mins each, and around the $40-50 range with printed photos included... is there anyone interested in that? If so, just comment yes! If I get enough interest, I'll get back to you with more specific details. Thanks everyone!

Here are some before and after shots. This is an 1883 folk Victorian farmhouse that used to have an arched transom above the front door, which was long gone when I bought it... only a sad piece of plywood stood in its former location. Luckily when I bought the house, the original front door was hidden in the attic!! So that was stripped, refinished and re-installed, but it still looked empty without the transom above. Now that the transom is back, it makes such a huge difference! I'll never know what the original looked like but thats ok... as long as no future owners decide to replace my window with a plywood panel i'm happy!! :p

Leaded glass transom is finished and installed!! What a fun project! Stained glass is something I've always wanted to learn how to do and I'm so pleased with the results! I'll be posting some before and afters so you can see the transformation of the front entry. The leaded glass window is assembled and ready to solder! I am in love with how this is turning out! You can see in the pic just a hint of the different types of textures in the glass. There's a frosted border around the outside that gives the window a frame look. The circles have a beveled edge which will reflect light beautifully, and the center "background" has a hammered type of texture. Love love love!!! I think I'm crazy for attempting this level of detail on my first ever stained glass project, but I think so far it's been a huge success!! :D

I'm super excited to start my next big project! I'm making a leaded glass window above my front door! I have always wanted to learn how to do stained glass so I'm finally going to give it a try! I'll post some photos soon of my progress, but here's my drawing of the design!

Here's another commissioned painting I just finished. This one really made me miss the warm weather and the beach haha! No more cold and snow... just sailboats, adirondack chairs, and blue skies! What more can you want?... Maybe a cold drink in your hand? Yes please :)
