Heather Haugse is a passionate photographer based in Cape Coral, Florida, with a lifelong love for capturing the beauty of people, nature, wildlife, and architecture. Originally from northern Minnesota, she has spent years refining her artistic eye, using photography to preserve life’s most special moments—whether it’s the joy of new beginnings, the serenity of nature, or the intricate details of

architectural design. Beyond photography, Heather is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time at the beach. She also expresses her creativity through painting and stained glass work. A dedicated member of her community, she volunteers with Cape Christian’s serve team. During the day, Heather works as a school psychologist in private practice, helping children, adolescents, and young to middle age adults reach their full potential. At home, she and her husband have raised two wonderful daughters and share their space with two beloved dogs and two vibrant sun conure parrots. With a keen eye for detail and a heart for storytelling, Heather is committed to capturing timeless images that speak to the soul.

Meet Sadie (13 years) and Tator (10 years) who have grown with our family through our daughter's childhoods and now into young adulthood. These pups deserve a pretty Christmas portrait this year! It is fun to have a home studio!!

I'm going to be using this backdrop at a Christmas craft fair event on Dec 11 and 12 (6-9pm) at the Cape Christian Christmas Village. I'm hoping to catch a bunch of quick Christmas photos of children in my booth to be ready before Christmas!

I’m joining the 21st century and setting up a connected professional Instagram account. I think I’ve finally figured it out. I had it set up as personal before which is why I could not share across platforms. Let’s see it this works! I welcome you joining me again and being patient while I learn how this platform works.

I will be posting samples of my nature, photos, and client photos for your enjoyment. I will also post upcoming events that I will be part of in my photography adventure.

I was mentioning to another beach goer one day how I never had seen a starfish at the beach here in SWFL. What do you know I saw one 10 minutes later! It was a cute little thing!
