Ok so I have to admit this was better than I anticipated. Four was a little disappointing but five redeemed that. Three was the best for closure. Five left the door open for more, and as annoyed as I am by the abundance of sequels and remakes, it’s also fun to binge them all right before you see the new one. Watching my kids watch these movies never gets old and it’s kinda cool that a piece of my childhood is becoming a piece of theirs.

What would you do if the world tried to silence you? In my research with , we uncovered the story of my ancestor, Ephram Ford. In 1867, after being attacked multiple times, he refused to stay quiet. He went to the authorities. He made sure he was heard.

He wrote himself into history so that a century and a half later, I could find him.

As we mark 250 years of the stories that built this country, I’m so proud to share his. I want my kids to know this is exactly who they come from.

I told myself I was just getting rid of some stuff. But this is not just getting rid of some stuff 😭 The kids have been helping me in my huge summer undertaking of decluttering the entire house and we have started with the toys category. I thought this would be a piece of cake, but each member of my family has seen me crying through this process. I’ve enjoyed every stage of parenting with my whole heart. I can’t believe the chapters that have flown by. I wish I could turn back the pages and restart the book.

In case you’re wondering, yes, we are saving a handful of our favorites! After decluttering I’m hoping to set up a nice organizational system to have them out in the open on display for easy play. Will happily take any and all advice! Did you ugly cry through decluttering too, or just me? And if you have organization tips I am taking notes. 👇🏾
