Home.

Some places shape who you become long before you ever realize it.

I had to leave to understand just how much this place had given me and to see life through a different lens.

Now I'm home again, grateful to live this life and even more grateful to preserve it.

Maybe that's why God put it on my heart to pick up a camera again.

Because some things deserve to be remembered.

Hi, I'm Emma.
I grew up on a ranch in the Great Basin of Northern Nevada, and somewhere along the way I picked up a camera.

For a few years, I left home and got to experience another part of the western world. It gave me a new appreciation for the way I was raised and showed me something I'll never forget.

Buckaroos, cowboys, cowpunchers, and everyone in between, our styles and methods may differ, but our love for the land, the lifestyle, and the legacy all share the same heart.

After graduating from college this spring, I moved back home to the ranch. Now, if I'm not behind my camera, I'm right there with the crew, moving cows, starting colts, living the same life that I capture.

I don't photograph this life because I admire it from the outside.
I photograph it because it's my life, too.

My hope is that these photographs become more than just images. That they become part of a family's history, preserve moments that might otherwise be forgotten, and remind future generations where they came from.

If you're new here, welcome.
