One last thing- for those who didn’t know, we are selling our home and living in a camper full time. We will be nearby and stationary for now, but a few years down the road we will be living a simple life, traveling the country. If you want to follow along I started sharing that journey here:

After 12+ years of photographing the most amazing families, baby bumps, babies, and children, Shot From the Heart Photography is officially closed. My heart hurts writing this, but I’m also forever grateful to each and every one of you who recommended me, and trusted me with your precious family. Thank you for letting me take a small part in telling your stories. I only hope that as the days and years pass, those images will forever be cherished. I love you all.

As a final request- if I took images for you, would you please share one of your favorites? I’d love a trip down memory lane. 🥰

Closing studio. Selling everything. It’s going to be a nightmare to list stuff individually.

Baby Tate. He's such a handsome little guy and these two are incredible big sisters. They love being helpers for mom and dad. During their session, Mom and I discussed how much easier it was to add baby #3 than baby #2. Can anyone else relate?

Of the thousands of images I've taken, this is among my favorite. Not because of the lighting or composition (it's not even *technically* accurate)... but because this little moment meant so much.

The man pictured is Michael "Moe" Baxter.

He's a man of honor and integrity. a true servant leader. He's the fire chief of Chatsworth and leader of the Georgia FLAMES program. He challenges others to uphold standards when so many are complacent to cut corners. He's just made from a different cloth.

Moe is a beloved friend and mentor. He and his wife Jackie would often come along when I did photo sessions for his granddaughters. During this session, he had briefly stepped in to fix her crown. I snapped the image and included it in their final gallery. Even though it was an "outtake", it became one of my favorites. This man changed my life.

If you pray, please pray for strength and grace as Moe and his family come to terms with the gut-wrenching reality that there's nothing more doctors can do. Cancer is a thief. It's up to the ultimate healer now.💔

Moe, Jackie, Mikey and Lauryn, Katherine- I love you all and I'm honored to call you my friends.
