We're so excited to have Cantonology and Freeda’s Footsteps joining us for our book fair this Sunday! Their table will feature “Blind Date with a Books” as well as other book and reading-themed items such as bookmarks, tote bags, and book pouches.

There will also be Freeda’s Footsteps items such as stickers, magnets, and coloring sheets.

Cantonology will also be hosting our Kids Zone with a kids craft activity table!

Amanda Wilhelm Morena is a teaching artist known for her colorful pet portraits. Her art commissions also include decorative art for interiors, murals and her current favorite, illustrations!

Amanda enjoys teaching art to all ages. She studied art and education at Kent State University. She resides in Canal Fulton with her two bright daughters.

This year, The Castoff Canine was published. It is a true dog adoption story illustrated by me. The Castoff Canine has won several awards including the IndieReader Discovery award for best children's non-fiction. I will be selling copies of the book and possibly some book merch.

We're excited to introduce our next author for this Sunday's Book Fair! Tomorrow we'll also release our Author Reading Schedule so you can plan your visit!

Linda J. Clark lives with her husband, Dennis, in Jackson Township, Ohio. Her published works, including Shadow Stalking and Sometimes We Cry, along with other works of fiction, non-fiction, short stories and poetry are all crafted while sitting comfortably on her living room couch, grateful for her laptop and everything God has blessed her with. She loves hearing from her readers.

SHE'S GONE- A Town in Terror is the book I would read. It is a mystery thriller set in Canal Fulton, A quaint, quiet, unsuspecting town where people trust more than they should. When a child vanishes from her front yard in broad daylight, the trauma not only affects the family. The town rallies and cooperates with the FBI to hopefully bring her home. Grief and fear are not just for the family. it is collective—reaching every person thinking their own children could be targeted.

We’re beyond excited to have Woven Words Bookshop as our premier book seller at our upcoming book fair. They’ll be bringing several genres of books, as well as craft kits, book accessories, and more!

We caught up with one of the owners, Amy Ford, to learn more about what they’ll be bringing!

Woven Words is an independently woman-owned bookshop and community craft space in Bath, OH dedicated to bringing people together through stories and creativity.

They offer new and used books, unique and high-quality craft kits, and host welcoming book events and craft nights for everyone—no artistic experience required.

Their hope is to create a space where conversations flow, friendships form, and joy is sparked by what we read and make together.

Because just like a tapestry, the books we love, the crafts we create, and the people we meet all become beautifully woven into the story of our lives.

A week and a half until over a dozen book lovers get together to bring you an unforgettable afternoon.

Visit the first floor of Second April Studios to find book sellers, artists, and other book-loving vendors. Head up to our space on the second floor for author readings with SEVEN local authors and illustrators!

We’re so grateful for the partnerships we’re building, and can’t wait to bring all the book lovers together. This event is free and kid friendly. Our friends at cantonology are even setting up a Kids Zone so you can shop and visit while the kids make book marks!

Next week, we’ll have a schedule of author readings available so you can plan your trip around hearing some (or all) of the talented local authors!

Dwight Parrish is a poet and non-fiction writer. He recently released a new poetry collection in August of 2026. He will be reading from and discussing his Memoir, “In My Father’s House: A Son’s Memoir.” He will also have a vendor table to sell his books.

Parrish is an Amazon Bestselling Author with each of his three books. His two Poetry Collections were Amazon #1 New Releases. After retiring from his management position at one of the largest utility companies in the country, he enrolled in a creative writing course at Malone University that focused on poetry and fiction. Dwight and his wife Cyndie live in northeast Ohio with their Boston Terrier, Halo.
