Today I went to my Uncle Jim’s favorite flea market.
He used to grab a Starbucks coffee, hot, black, and come to this place.
It’s not anything fancy. It’s not a huge market. Just a little flea market in the parking lot of a livestock auction house. The finds are good and so are the people that sell them.
As I was walking around, I hit up my second vendor. A random box with the name “James” placed right infront of me. My amazing Uncle was with me today and he let me know.
A few years ago now, my Uncle Jim passed away from an extremely aggressive cancer. He’d always love vintage and antiques, his most memorable collection being every single glass candy jar produced.
I wish he was around for this chapter of my life where antiques and vintage aren’t just a hobby, but a huge piece of my career and a passion. I wish I would have been at a time in my life where I could go with him and shop and learn.
