Poolside branding shots? Ummm yes definitely.

And yet we have another brand coming to me with allll the personality.

Meet Fair Oaks Funding. Mary and Patty are a total power duo, not to mention total bad asses as what they do (getting their clients strategic capital solutions) and how they compliment each other through their client experience of relationship-driven lending.

They wanted their branding photos to show the balance of professionalism, expertise, quality, caring service vibes with the espresso martini by the poolside vibes.

Once again, friends, you may have a career that deals with numbers or laptops or papers, but you are a beautifully unique human.

And humans do business with humans (ok sometimes robots too but that sucks so) I like to help the humans promote their services.

You’ve got personality. You’ve got a story. And it’s my job to sit with you and listen to who you are, why you are, who you serve, where you do it and pull out all the personality to get you those scroll stopping, strategic, money making, one of a kind images for your brand.

I love what I do. Absolutely love it.

This is how I started photography.

My people. The mundane. Everything inbetween moments. My iPhone. Our home.

And here I am now proudly coming up on 4 years of Arise Images this fall.

Cheers to the beautiful mess of everyday. To the light and the shadows that have held us close enough be the breath of life or near suffocating death.

Cheers to life lived and learned and all the stones that have laid paths we never could have built without the mess and the seemingly mundane.

I’m so tired of algorithms.

So here’s the hook: I’m damn good at what I do.

And what I do is take damn good photos for bad ass business owners who are damn amazing and may be feeling stuck with marketing or scared to get in front of the camera.

They know it would be good for them but feel intimidated or discouraged from previous experiences. Maybe they’ve gotten some images of them that just feel meh or bleh or worse, totally not them. So they don’t use them.

Understandably.

Because that totally sucks, I curated the hell out of my process. It’s filled with wonderful human ways- like listening and connection and hospitality and education and planning and organization and cheerleading, fun and thoughtfulness.

AI is freaking photographers out everywhere.

Some of us are losing clients to AI because it now can produce some genuinely decent photos and videos.

But listen, while I definitely have concerns for the rise of AI and the impact it has on humans, the earth and our brains, I’m not scared for my job.

Cause AI can’t:

☑️Help you get in front of the camera to do a thing scared
☑️Build your confidence from an experience of doing a thing scared
☑️Speak to your insecurities in a way that only a human with compassion and expertise can
☑️Be your biggest cheerleader in a way only a human can
☑️Cultivate an experience from strategy to stunning photos that’s filled with hospitality and connection
☑️See a moment as it’s happening and click the shutter button
☑️create a moment of joy and document that visually
☑️have integrity, character, laughter, warmth, joy, grief or any number of emotions that make an experience that produces something internal, like confidence or pride
☑️cry with you and make space for what’s underneath (it happens in sessions more than you think)

Also, real talk, a lot of us are grossed out by everything being so damn polished. We’re tired of ChatGPT scripts and cringe perfect images.

We want imperfect. Messy. Raw. Real.

We want humans doing what humans do.

And that’s what I do.

Hi, I’m Becky and I’m not AI and I take photos of brands in the Asheville, NC area. I take my time listening to you about your brand story. And then I strategize about creating the best images to tell your story in a way that captures your human essence and gets people to connect with you and I hope make you more money.

I guide you through the many emotions we have as business owners who are timid to get in front of the camera. I help you work through that vulnerable place and move through it and into confidence.

And AI will NEVER EVER do that for you.

So I ain’t scared.

You deserve a feel good image for those big wins!

Just about every branding gallery I prep has at least a shot or 2 of you celebrating because a growing business has lots to celebrate along the way.
