I have so enjoyed getting to know this sweet family while documenting them in Oregon's most iconic landscapes the past couple years. They are authentic, thoughtful, personable, and so obviously in love with the life they continuously invest in with each other. Their little man turned 2 this summer so we met up along the Oregon coast for a stroll at sunset together.

They told me they wanted an experience and that's exactly what we created together.

In my experience, energy flows freely if you're open to it.
I've had multiple encounters with dragonflies in the past year. At first, I chalked it up to coincidence. Then smack dab in the middle of a lake swim during a pack trip, I had an extraordinary moment. On a log, I perched happily at its intersection of the lake surface to find myself the guest. Hundreds of dragonflies danced, fluttered, and curiously speckled my seasonally freckled extremities. You can think I'm silly all you want, but I refuse to ignore my intuition and inclination for embracing stillness; especially the stillness that invokes discomfort.
I'm relearning the art of leaning into moments to grab onto the joy being offered.

sometimes couples have a hard time deciding where they want to go for their engagement session...my solution? two locations ☀

the Columbia River Gorge is filled to the brim with killer spots. these two happen to be some of the favorite, iconic PNW.

and they're also super close to one of the best brewpubs around, Thunder Island Brewing. the fried buffalo cauliflower is perfection paired with a pilsner🍻

I took these photos almost three years ago + my artist's heart loves them even more so today than I did back then. I was able to revisit this incredible week of camping along the North Fork Flathead River in Montana outside Glacier NP fondly.
Just one of those lovely little reminders of how a photograph's value only increases.
