when these two stood together yesterday and became husband and wife, those vows hit a little differently. ❤️

And then we took them back to the exact spot where Jake proposed on their family's property in Glenwood, NY.

Same place.

Same two people.

A whole lot of life lived in between.

Except this time…

“Some couples say ‘through sickness and in health’ for the first time at the altar. Some have already proven it long before they get there.”

For Jake and Emily, those words aren't just part of their vows. They're part of their story.

Before yesterday ever arrived, life had already thrown plenty at these two. Jake broke his back. There were setbacks, hard days, unexpected turns and more than a few moments that tested them.

And through all of it, Emily stayed right by his side.

So yesterday wasn't simply about promising to be there for one another someday.

It was about celebrating a promise they've already been living.

And there couldn't have been a more fitting place to do it than their family's property in Glenwood, NY. We even headed back out to the exact place where Jake proposed to Emily — except this time, they returned as husband and wife. ❤️

There is something pretty incredible about photographing two people in the same place where one chapter began, knowing everything they've been through together to reach this one.

Yesterday was about family, love, resilience, a whole lot of laughter, and two people who already know exactly what it means to choose each other when life doesn't go according to plan.

Jake & Emily — you made it. You’re married. 🥂

Jackson’s senior session took us to the Ontario County Pathways in Phelps, NY this morning and he absolutely crushed it. 🎓🔥
We got the serious senior shots.
We broke out The Sandlot jerseys. ⚾
Mom jumped in.
Phil joined the crew.
And then came the REAL star of the session…
LANIE LOO. 🐶😂
At that point, Jackson’s senior session officially became a family session — and I’m here for it.
Because senior year is about Jackson and the huge chapter ahead of him, but someday these pictures with Mom, Phil and Lanie Loo might mean just as much as the senior portraits themselves.

What started as Jackson’s senior session this morning quickly turned into a family affair — and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. 😂

We spent the morning exploring the Ontario County Pathways in Phelps, NY, and Jackson absolutely crushed it. Different looks, some incredible scenery, and a guy who made being in front of the camera look way easier than he probably expected.

Then Mom jumped in.

Then Phil joined the fun.

And there was absolutely NO WAY Lanie Loo was going to let everyone else have all the attention. 🐾😂

Before we knew it, a senior session had turned into a chance to capture this whole crew together.

And that’s what I love about sessions like this. Senior pictures are about celebrating Jackson and everything that lies ahead, but they’re also about this moment in time — the people beside him, the memories they’ve already made, and the family cheering him on as he heads into his next chapter.

So yes… we got the senior pictures.

But we also got Mom & Jackson. ❤️
We got Phil.
We got some laughs.
We got the whole family.

And most importantly…

Lanie Loo got her moment. 🐶📸

An incredible group of friends and family.
A wedding party that understood the assignment. 😂

“She knew.”

From the first time Samantha met Jenson, she knew she was going to marry him.

And apparently, she wasn’t exactly quiet about it. 😂🤍

Yesterday, all of those friends and family who had heard her say it, watched their story unfold, and knew how much these two belonged together finally got to be there when Samantha proved herself right.

She married him. 💍

When Samantha and Jenson asked me to come to Omaha to photograph their wedding at The Paxton, I was excited. After spending the day with these two and the people who love them, I completely understand why this day meant so much.

From getting ready inside the Paxton, to one seriously fun wedding party, to taking over the streets of downtown Omaha for portraits, there was no shortage of moments to capture.

But some of my favorites are the quiet ones between Samantha and Jenson—the looks, the smiles, the way they naturally fall into each other when everything else around them disappears.

Samantha knew from the beginning.

Yesterday, everyone else got to watch that “I’m going to marry him” become “I married him.” 🤍

What a day! Milwaukee was our backdrop, and Violette absolutely owned every minute of it. 💜👑
From touring downtown Milwaukee and the Deer District, to capturing these incredible portraits in her stunning purple gown, the day was filled with laughter, family, friends, and memories that will last a lifetime.
And then we headed back to Clybourn to celebrate with the people who mean the most. 🎉💃🏽

Today was all about Violette! 💜

We started the day touring downtown Milwaukee and the Deer District, taking in the city and creating some amazing portraits along the way. And when Violette stepped out in that incredible purple gown and crown… it was time to let the camera do the talking. 👑✨

From portraits with her court to those beautiful individual moments, every location gave us something different—and Violette absolutely rocked them all.

But the best part of the day wasn't just the photos.

After exploring Milwaukee, we headed back to Clybourn to celebrate with her friends and family. There was laughter, dancing, celebration, and the kind of moments that make a quinceañera so special.

Today wasn't just about celebrating a birthday.

It was about celebrating Violette, her family, her culture, her friendships, and this incredible milestone in her life.

"We're awkward in front of the camera..."
Yeah... we don't buy it. 😂❤️
This morning in Prattsburgh, the weather gave us a break just long enough to create the dreamiest skies. Peyton & Jacob showed up saying they weren't comfortable in front of the camera, but within minutes they were laughing, dancing, stealing kisses, and looking like they'd been modeling for years.
Then came the best surprise... their two fur babies joined the session wearing "My Humans Are Getting Married!" bandanas to help announce the big news. 🐶💍
Natural moments. Big laughs. A little drama in the sky. And one incredible love story.
July 2027 can't come soon enough! ❤️

"We're so awkward in front of the camera."

Challenge accepted. 😄

This morning in Prattsburgh, Mother Nature gave us a little gift. The rain held off just long enough, leaving us with dramatic skies that made every photo feel cinematic.

Peyton & Jacob started the session convinced they weren't comfortable having their pictures taken. Within minutes, they were laughing, twirling through the field, stealing kisses, and making our job incredibly easy. Sometimes the best photos come from simply being yourselves — and these two did exactly that.

To make the session even sweeter, their two fur babies joined us to help announce the engagement, proudly sporting their "My Humans Are Getting Married!" bandanas. It's moments like those that make every session uniquely theirs.

Thank you, Peyton & Jacob, for trusting TAJ Photography to capture this exciting chapter of your story. If this morning is any indication, your wedding is going to be absolutely incredible, and we can't wait to celebrate alongside you.
