friendly reminder: your toddler does not need to “cooperate” for us to get beautiful photos. 🤍

this little guy was not a fan of me or my giant camera when we first started. in fact, at one point he was hissing at me like a snake. 🐍 😂

but that’s the thing about family photos… i don’t expect your kids to sit still, smile on command, or be perfectly behaved.

i expect them to be kids.

some of my favorite images come from the in-between moments anyway. the cuddles, the giggles, the forehead kisses, the way they look at their parents when they feel safe.

so if you’ve been putting off family photos because you’re worried your toddler won’t cooperate, i promise you’re not the first parent to tell me that. 😉

and i promise we’ll still get the photos. 💌

my new website, branding, and a dream that somehow became real.

for those who are new here, hi. i’m veronika.

i’m a wife, a mama to two little boys, a lover of Jesus, and someone who has always been drawn to creating. whether it’s photography, writing, dreaming up new ideas, or building community, i’ve always felt most like myself when i’m creating something meaningful.

creating has always felt a little bit like healing to me. when i didn’t always know what was next, creativity gave me something to build, something to dream about, and something to pour my heart into. in a lot of ways, it became part of my healing.

faith, friendship, community, and connection are some of the things i value most, and they’ve become the foundation of not only who i am, but the business i’ve built.

because photography was never really about taking pictures for me.

it’s about people.

it’s about preserving the moments that tell your story and reminding you how this season of life felt.

if you’ve ever wondered where the name Bluebird & Bear came from, it’s inspired by my boys.

one has bright blue eyes that sparkle with curiosity and wonder, reminding me of a little bluebird in flight. the other has deep brown eyes that are warm, steady, and comforting, like a little bear. they are the heart behind everything i do, so it only felt right that they became the heart behind this brand too.

this is not just a business to me. it’s the first thing i ever built completely on my own.
