Doug and Ashleigh, with so much love and strength, welcomed their rainbow baby, Everly Lena on September 13 🤍 After the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Lena, their journey to growing their family continued with so much hope, fear and uncertainty. They described bringing Everly home as a feeling that is difficult to put into words.

Although Lena isn’t here to be photographed alongside her siblings, she is lovingly carried into these memories through the little bunny that belonged to her, a special way her mama makes sure she is always included.

It was such an honor to witness and document this chapter of their family’s story, holding space for both the grief and joy, and preserving these moments with Lena lovingly woven into every frame 💞 Welcome to the world, Everly, you are truly such a beautiful blessing 🌈🤍

These two are truly some of the kindest, most selfless people I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting and watching them navigate this season of life has been such a beautiful reminder of what love really looks like.

As they prepare to welcome their first baby, they are walking into a chapter that looks a little different than they may have imagined. Following our session together, dad left for military deployment. This beautiful mama will carry the remainder of her pregnancy, birth of their baby and potentially even those precious first days of motherhood without him physically by her side.

And yet, through it all, they have approached this journey with so much grace, positivity and love.

It has been such an honor to be trusted with these memories for them. To preserve this fleeting season, to capture the love between them before their world changes in the most beautiful way and to give them something tangible to hold onto during this chapter that will undoubtedly be filled with so many emotions. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your story— I cannot wait for the day your little one gets to look back at these photos and see just how deeply they were loved before they even arrived 🤍

Sharing some special news today. ♥️

In collaboration with V. Avery Photography, Kids Like Connor will be providing a complimentary newborn photo session to every KLC grant recipient.

For so many of our families, the road to meeting their miracle baby is long, emotional, and filled with moments most people never see. When that little one finally arrives, we want our families to have the opportunity to soak it all in and capture the moments they worked so hard to reach.

These photos will become memories they can hold onto forever, and we are so grateful to the V. Avery Photography team for helping us make that possible.

This collaboration means so much to me! I met Bryan and Lauren when they were expecting their miracle baby, Connor. The way they welcomed and trusted me to document such a meaningful season of their lives has been such an honor.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of watching their family grow right in front of my camera— celebrating Connor’s milestones, birthdays and even becoming a big brother. I’ve gotten to witness the beautiful, messy, emotional, joy-filled journey of their family and it has been such a gift to be a small part of it.

Connor’s story is one that has stayed with me. For families like Bryan and Lauren, the journey to becoming parents isn’t always easy. Infertility can mean years of trying, appointments, medications, procedures, heartbreak, uncertainty and an incredible amount of emotional and financial sacrifice. For many families, IVF is what ultimately gives them the opportunity to bring the baby they’ve dreamed of into the world.

And that’s why this feels so personal to me.

Lauren and Bryan, thank you for trusting me to tell Connor’s story and for allowing me to continue documenting your family. Your story has inspired me in more ways than you know 🩵
