I spent a couple hours sipping coffee and telling stories with two of my favorite people. They told me about buying their farm and moving during a snowstorm. Memories flowed through conversation. Memories of starting with very little in possessions but a whole lot of love. She shared which furniture had been handed down through the generations, and he pointed out photos of family members who have since passed.

I was brought to tears as they sang a song to one another, and soon was belly laughing as he made jokes that were met with, "Oh Clifford! Men, they never change. Even after 90 years." They looked at each other's hands and remarked about how much they'd changed. "Her engagement ring cost $60. Five minks (pelts) worth." She was worth it. Their love story is admirable, and I am so thankful to be witness to it!
