Nightime Tree Chair Outside of 38 & 34
----------------------------------------
The sad part about this chair is that it's not there anymore. Last time I checked (today afternoon), the entire location has been destroyed in order to build something else: I don't know what. I'm happy to at least have captured it before it was gone.

Killian Court Day to Night Transition
------------------------------------
This was the coolest and hardest photograph I have had the chance to create! It starts out as day from the left and slowly transitions into nighttime at the far right.

In order to accomplish this, I had to take multiple photos throughout the day at the same exact location with the same tripod settings so that the images perfectly align—all of this in the cold winter weather. Initially the images didn't align, but thanks to photoshop, I managed to use the auto-align feature to fix that. Although I took multiple images, it only made sense to transition through a few of them. So, I chose the 4 best images. Also, the images were taken farther away from the dome (including nearby trees), it didn't make much sense to transition through the trees. So I zoomed in to get this close. The next step was to blend the photos using photoshop's gradient masks, but it wasn't as simple as that. Some parts of the images were better than others even in areas where they weren't visible, so I decided to also select certain areas of the images to show and others to hide.

Overall, I had a ton of fun doing this, and that's why I am releasing the taken images under the creative commons license! You can find a link to the photos here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1MgNScRjUo-7M6lRqg2WuPgxfnh_nyN6M?usp=sharing. Feel free to play around with the images or use them. The only thing I ask is to cite me :) ! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photos and let me know your thoughts!

In this album I will be sharing photos of MIT of places you may have never seen or been in or of places that you may have seen in a different light to show you how much of a beautiful campus we have. Please share your thoughts! Have you been or seen these places? Do you know where that is?

Starting this photography page was a way for me to put myself "out there" and to do something I've always had an urge to do for a very long time. I am glad I took this chance in 2018 and will continue to improve my photography over 2019 and beyond. Thank you for joining me in this journey!! I wish you all the best and happy new year ! 🎈
