Julie Bitting Photos specializes in family and children photography in the central Iowa area.

Some of my most favorite pictures are not perfectly posed with everyone looking at the camera (although, we'll get some of those too!) But my favorite images are the ones that show your dynamic as a family — the laughing, the playing, the chaos. I love catching mom and dad looking at each other with love in their eyes, a daughter grabbing for her daddy's hand, or a mama looking adoringly at her son. I like to capture tickle fights and dance parties, belly laughs, and happiness.

Sweet baby August at 5 months old.❤️ This session has been years in the making. August’s dad is one of my best friends and we’ve always discussed me taking pictures of a future baby of his… even before people paid me to take their pictures. 😉 So, this one will always be one of my favorites.

With that said, I know I’ve been quiet over here. A full time job (which I adore!) and two older kids in all the activities has me quite busy and I’m not left with much time left over. I’ve put this little business on the back burner for now. I’m still here and I may not be gone forever. But for right now, I’m focusing on my family and our fleeting time together.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for letting me be a part of your family’s memories. I don’t take that privilege for granted. ❤️

Yesterday was Lincoln's first birthday... which seems impossible considering I JUST took his newborn pictures the other day. 😄

What an honor it's been to watch you grow up behind my lens, sweet boy. Hope you had the best birthday! ❤️

My fifth time with this amazing family. And if I’m entirely honest, these girls wanted to be doing anything other than taking family pictures.🤣

So, when all else fails, family ring around the rosie for the win. Baby Shark and other silly songs also boosted morale. In all seriousness, I adore them and I laughed and smiled through shooting and editing this entire session.

Kids run the show, and I will still capture your beautiful chaos. ❤️ I will also include some…not so perfect.. shots, for their graduation boards someday, as well. 😉
