Its feels like an Elephant kind of day! Here's two older brothers wrestling while the little one tries to get in on the action. He gave us a little trumpet like he was going to charge us, so cute!

These Vultures are almost magical. They are everywhere in SA.

This image makes me laugh. I found a camp that has an underground hide that animals frequent. It was an opportunity to photograph animals at water level with gorgeous reflections and images/videos of them interacting and drinking and bathing and such. I was over the moon that we had 3 days at the special place all to ourselves.
This is the only animal that came to the hide in the entire 3 days. It's also the only image of an Impala I think I have because they are worse than deer in Indiana. Everywhere in herds of 10's -100's.
Oh, and 2 hours after we left elephants came by the hide. Go figure. We still had an amazing time on game drives at Antares Bush Camp & Umgede Hide

Well, most of the time not on purpose! Very thankful that the tracker from the other truck at our camp was between us and this big guy!

Sometimes I remember this moment and still can't believe it ever happened. We were lucky enough to witness a Leopard eating dinner around sunset. So freakin cool.

Let's give the wildebeest some love! I'm pretty sure one of our guides told us it's one of the Africa UGLY 5 !
There was a herd that slept near the waterhole outside our room at night at nThambo Tree Camp.

A Double on BIG BIRD WEDNESDAY this week! The first is something I didn't know was in Africa until we saw one in the distance! This is the one and only that we spotted in 9 days!

And the Ground Hornbill - a bird I was looking forward to spotting and I finally did! They were quite shy and I hope to have another opportunity to photograph them in the future. So cool!
