I’ve gone back and forth about posting this, but it’s been weighing on my heart, and I feel like I need to say something.
Recently, someone was upset because I had made a post on my personal page while they were still waiting on their gallery. Their feelings are valid, but I also wanted to share my perspective because I never want anyone to feel like I’m taking advantage of their trust or investment.
I work incredibly hard to balance my business and my family. Most of the time, it’s actually my family who sacrifices while I pour my heart into serving my clients. I’m a wife, a mom to four children all under the age of nine, and I run this business on my own. Recently, my family also experienced a heartbreaking loss, which is the reason I’ve fallen behind on galleries.
I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because I want to be transparent. Behind this business is a real person.
I know the vast majority of my clients have shown me so much grace, patience, and kindness, and I truly cannot thank you enough for that. Your understanding during this difficult season has meant more than you’ll ever know.
I also hope this helps explain why you may occasionally see me running errands, spending time with my family, or posting on my personal page while you’re waiting on your gallery. Photography is my job, one that I absolutely love but like anyone else, I need moments to be present with my family and take care of life’s responsibilities. Owning my own business doesn’t mean I don’t deserve those moments, too.
Please know that I never take your patience, your support, or your investment in me for granted. Every gallery is edited with care, and I am always working to deliver images that you’ll treasure for years to come.
If you made it this far.. Thank you for supporting my small business, for extending grace when life happens, and for allowing me to capture some of your most precious memories. It is an honor I never take lightly. 🤍
