I finally put together something I’ve wanted to write for a long time.

A real guide to photographing weddings in Napa and Sonoma, not just the pretty parts, but what actually makes these days feel meaningful when you’re inside them.

From heartfelt and funny toasts to their pup joining in on the celebration, every detail felt personal and joyful. And who could forget Bri’s surprise haircut during cocktail hour; moment that left everyone in awe (especially Rob!)? The night ended with dancing under the redwoods and memories that will last a lifetime.

Golden hour gets a lot of credit, but it isn’t the reason photos feel timeless.

Beautiful images come from understanding how light moves through a space: vineyards, trees, architecture, open shade. That’s what allows couples to stay present instead of planning their day around the sun.
