A palomino stallion, Pyrite, was shot sometime last week between November 3rd and 8th. Pyrite did not die quickly. He was seen injured and then succumbed to his injuries over the weekend. His body was found on our public lands about 3 miles southwest of Simpson Springs in Tooele county.

Mount Rainier night of 10/10 at ~7:30 PM. My favorite shot of the night. A car light flashed causing the slight red in the photo—hazard of photos right off the road.

I missed the big show that occurred 9:15-10:30ish, but I am super excited to see what others got. There were about 15 of us, plus one person who had no idea the aurora was happening but stumbled across photographers on the way out of the park. Everyone was pretty chill and put up with me ecstatically chattering.

It was honestly really nice as I’ve struggled to want to photograph things since moving out of Utah. Still got the bug, though.
