A pair of Koninklijke Luchtmacht Cougar helicopters flying low on a range in Cumbria.

The aircraft were taking part in the ‘Tac Blaze’ exercise which takes place annually in Northern England. The RNLAF send a number of Chinook and Apache helicopters to this exercise.

US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles flying low and fast in the Lake District.

This flight were from the 494th FS based at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk and were flying on a routine training mission in low flying area 17 also known as LFA17.

Hellenic Air Force Mirage 2000-5BG leading a pair of F-16’s low through a canyon in Greece.

It’s not uncommon to see a mixed formation flight. Greece maintains a strong fleet of four types of frontline aircraft including the Mirage, Rafale, F-16 and the F-4 Phantom.

RAF Typhoons flying low over Ullswater in the Lake District on a crisp winter morning.

This pair of Typhoons were from 29 Squadron based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

The Royal Air Force regularly train at low level and fly down to as low at 250ft. In some areas of the UK fixed wing are permitted at low as 100ft and rotary aircraft even lower.

This pair of Eurofighter Typhoons were from 3 Squadron, based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.

Hellenic Air Force F-4 Phantoms flying in a mixed formation with a pair of F-16’s from 336 Mira in a low level flight through a narrow canyon in Greece.

The F-4 has been in service with the Hellenic Air Force for over 50 years and is still flying today from their base at Andravida.

These two stealth fighters belong to 207 Squadron based at RAF Marham in Norfolk.
