I've been quiet. Intentionally so. Here's what I've been thinking about...

I don't want to be the photographer who shows up to make epic award-winning images... I want to witness things as they actually are... I am addicted to people watching, and I hope to translate that through the camera to the viewer.

Remember that day last week when you couldn’t feel your fingers if you went outside? Yeah that one! Well I was out with and .clancy.ryerson attempting to take some photos… needless to say we needed quite a bit of time to defrost in a local coffee shop so I took advantage of that time together to snap some more photos of them. It was actually quite a fun adventure and one that I’m pretty proud to have accomplished! Jackie and Sean, this day will get a space in your memories, not only as your engagement session, but as the coldest day of 2026! Thanks for braving it out with me!

The Chinese 100-day celebration, or Bǎi Rì Yàn (百日宴), is an important milestone celebrated amongst the culture. I had never gotten to experience capturing one before, and I was so excited to take part in this new celebration. I feel like it’s just as important that the parents have survived their first 100 days as well as the baby. It reminds me of my first 100 days as a parent, and that was definitely a journey that is etched into my mind.

How’d I do?

*for the photo nerds… I was up at around 10k iso for some of these… didn’t want to disrupt the natural lighting and mood of this quiet restaurant wedding…
