A whole lot of what life has looked like lately! My days are being filled with less photoshoots and editing and more nap time story books and chasing a crawling baby around. And David is busy crushing it on .james.elliott creating lifestyle content around men’s fashion, health and family. We have been finding our new balance with all the things (like figuring out how to travel again but with a baby?!) and for now really enjoying life right where we’re at!

We’re so thankful for all of the ways that God led us right to where we are (including this photography business) and we’re still taking on shoots here and there but mostly focusing on parenthood! Thanks for being a part of this journey with us! 🫶🏻

Nothing like finally editing and posting your tripod self-captured newborn photos 3 months later am I right?

We have been enjoying soaking up and adjusting to life as a family of 3 and taking a bit of a break over here in the meantime! They really try to warn you, but this parenting stuff ain’t easy 😮‍💨 but we are simultaneously loving every minute with our smiley, healthy 3 month old!

Shoutout to for being our assistant/third shooter and making it possible for us to shoot a wedding 3 weeks after having a baby! And also to my husband’s entire family for being onsite all day to take care of baby Noah! Having your friends and family invited to a wedding you’re shooting really does have its perks 😉

Can’t believe we’re just 6(ish) weeks away from meeting our baby boy 💙

We have photographed so many moments just like this for other people that it’s so surreal and special being on this side of it. I’m still a little surprised when I catch a glimpse of the bump and remember I’M the one having a baby, but we’re so ready and thankful to be this little guy’s parents!

“Do you only photograph weddings?” Actually, no! While weddings get a lot of love on our feed—because who doesn’t love pretty details and dreamy portraits 😉—we actually shoot a variety of sessions from branding sessions to families, and even lifestyle newborns!

Branding sessions are a sneaky favorite because as business owners ourselves, we know the value in them!

Whether fitness, food, photography, calligraphy, podcasting, or anything else under the sun is your passion, we love capturing you in your element and creating cohesive images for you to share on your socials and website!

Talk about making an entrance! For Betsy & Peter’s Rehearsal dinner, guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside while the couple made their grand entrance by boat. Betsy looked effortlessly stunning in her mom’s vintage wedding dress and headband! Florals by added to their vintage boat added the perfect touch for this iconic moment!

We have just a few Fall Mini spots left on September 26th & October 3rd! 🍎

We love fall minis for SO many reasons. They’re the perfect length for updated family photos (especially if you’re wrangling little ones 😉), a fun announcement, or just updated portraits!

Getting to see your families grow year after year is one of our favorite things 🫶🏻 But due to our busy schedule with weddings & engagements the rest of the year, we only take on portrait sessions in the fall and spring for minis!
