If You See Me on the Beach…
This morning, while I was out on the beach doing what I do, I had the privilege of meeting someone who has followed my page, encouraged me, and prayed for me along the way.
And this morning, I got to return the blessing.
We stood there on the edge of the ocean, held hands, and prayed.
I've often thought, the beach is where you go when you don't know where to go.
Sometimes we walk that shoreline because it's beautiful. But sometimes we walk it because life isn't. Sometimes we're searching for peace, trying to clear our heads, carrying a burden, or simply needing a place where we can breathe and listen for God.
So I want all of you to know something.
If you ever see me out on the beach and you need prayer, please come find me.
Maybe you're battling an addiction. Maybe your marriage is struggling. Maybe the bills are piling up. Maybe you've received a diagnosis that has turned your world upside down. Maybe you're grieving, afraid, lonely, or simply carrying something that has become too heavy.
You don't have to tell me the details.
You don't have to explain yourself.
You don't even have to tell me what's wrong.
Just say, "John, would you pray with me?"
And I will.
I don't have all the answers. I can't promise that your circumstances will change when we finish praying. But I believe in a God who hears us. And I believe there is something sacred about standing beside another person and carrying their burden before the Lord.
So if you see me walking the beach, taking pictures, watching the sunrise—and your heart needs prayer—please don't walk past me.
Come say hello.
It would never be an inconvenience.
It would be an honor. It would be a privilege. And I would be grateful to pray with you.
Because sometimes the beach is where you go when you don't know where to go.
And maybe, just maybe, God put us on the same stretch of sand for a reason.
