Still not over this Chicago engagement session 🤍

We watched the weather roll in all afternoon, somehow squeezing these photos in right before the city was hit with heavy rain, flooding, and one of the wildest storms I’ve seen in a long time. Every few seconds, the sky changed. The clouds shifted, the light transformed, the wind picked up even more. It felt like photographing inside a moving painting.

And somehow, in the middle of all of it, we were surprised with a beautiful rainbow that appeared over the lake for just a few moments. It honestly felt unreal.

This was easily one of the most breathtaking sessions I’ve ever had the chance to document.

Carolyn + Elliot, thank you for braving the wind, dodging raindrops, and trusting me with such an important chapter of your story. I’m already counting down to your wedding day this year 🤍

The last week I’ve been revamping my website pretty hard.
Not because there was anything wrong with it, but because honestly…

I looked at the photos I had highlighted and realized they all felt very “oh, that’s nice.”
Not in the finish, but in the feeling behind them.
Perfection is beautiful, yes, but oftentimes it's not real.

My ENTIRE photography business is built on real moments, wild love, and honest storytelling.
And my website hasn't reflected that.

I’m still putting a lot of final touches and changes into it, but the images on there will finally feel like me. That was what was missing. I got too caught up in trying to have the “perfect” website like everyone else and started losing myself and the whole point of what I was creating. I was afraid to stand out.

So buckle up… because this is where we are heading, baby!
