Realized that I didn’t share all my favorites from Gianna and Defo’s engagement shoot and with their wedding coming up so soon I figured what better time! These two incredible people are clearly so deeply in love. Every interaction I’ve had with them you can see the tenderness and care they both hold for each other. I can’t wait to celebrate that love with you guys so soon!

I remember putting down my camera for what I thought was the last time, after losing the passion I had for the craft. It took some time, but that spark ignited again. I’ve felt called to get back to telling stories like I know I’m meant to do, and honestly, it feels really good to be here again.

So this is kind of my “I’m back” moment, and I want to celebrate it by creating with people.

I’m running a limited photoshoot promo this May, and I’d love to work with you. Portraits, family photos, grad pictures, couples, or whatever else you may have in mind. I want this to feel collaborative, natural, and true to you.

All shoots can be scheduled anytime I’m available throughout May, and we’ll find a location that’s best for you. And as a little extra, one person who books will be randomly selected to get their shoot completely free. The winner will be announced May 1st. The promotion however is still valid throughout the month of May.

Love a downtown engagement shoot! Kyle and Emily came up from West Virginia and when I asked them what they wanted the vibe to be they said “Pittsburgh”, which in my opinion is always the best vibe.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to love someone. It’s so hard to define, especially seeing so many different expressions of it in my line of work. I’ve worked with quiet, reserved couples whose love is a solemn and peaceful presence. I’ve worked with couples whose love was an exuberant energy that sparks excitement and joyfulness. I’ve worked with couples whose love was a deeply romantic passion, their hearts clearly aflame for each other. At the root of all these expressions I’ve noticed the same foundation. These people are at home when they’re with each other. For there to be love there needs to be understanding and acceptance, seeing and acknowledging who the other truly is. I wholeheartedly love doing what I get to do. Capturing expressions of something undefinable but so evident.

Okay but those flowers 😩 such a great time shooting Dorothy and Tony’s wedding. The happiness and love shown by the couple and all their friends and family was just beautiful.

Every single person in Mellon Park was either a photographer or someone having their picture taken and I don’t blame anyone because the sunset and leaves were absolutely perfect. Such an amazing engagement session with Haley and Josh and I can’t wait to work with them on their wedding!
