Northgate Mall – Yet another area mall sadly coming to an end. The mall first opened in 1972, was sold earlier this month, and the last two remaining tenants are expected to be out by the middle of September. So, if you want to take a walk down memory lane, you still have a few weeks left to do it.

Got out this morning to grab one more new waterfall before the dry spell hits. Newberry Wildlife Sanctuary in Colerain Twp is one of the rarely visited Great Parks of Hamilton County. It’s not frequently visited because there’s no parking and no trails. Such a nice and peaceful place to explore. The side falls I included in this post was from late winter 2022, after heavy rain.

Germantown Falls

After getting 2.5" of rain overnight in Germantown, I thought I would try to get a full picture of the lower falls. But remarkably, after many, many years of not being able to photograph the main upper falls because of two very large trees that had fallen across the area, the heavy rain last night moved the trees down toward the middle falls.

I've literally been wanting to get a picture of the upper falls for years for the book, and finally, nature did its thing and gave me the opportunity.

I was able to get out a few days with all the rain we got last week to add 10 new waterfalls and revisited a few as well...

From last night's MadTree Red, White & Blue Ash 4th of July fireworks. I've been wanting to see this show for years and I finally made it there. An amazing show put on by Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics. What great firework displays the tristate area has. I hope everyone was able to get out and celebrate this AMAZING country's 250th birthday!
