Miss Nebraska week is officially underway, and the first gallery is posted! See the link below to see yesterday's interview photos and keep up with the pageant daily. Just a reminder - we are the exclusive pageant photographers, so no outside photography is allowed at pageant events, including cell phone photography. In order to be able to be here this week, we have to charge for the photos we take. Thank you to all the families who have ordered photo packages so far! Nineteen years ago, this house was a pile of stones waiting to become a home, and I photographed my very first high school senior on top of one of the rock heaps. Eighteen years ago, that house was finished and I shot my very first newborn in it, which we followed with a session every single month for the first year of his life. We made so many memories, and I fell in love with portrait photography thanks for Treston and Shada. This week, I had the privilege of capturing that newborn's senior portraits at this same house....very full circle moment for both his mama and me! The whole family helped out this time around, from mom keeping smiles on his face and making sure all his outfits were on point, dad getting the horses' ears up (if they gave gold buckles for making horses have perky ears, Trevor would have #27 🤣), Swayzi being my little videographer, DJ and dog sitter, uncle Clify giving the best prep advice, and Style popping in for moral support! Treston was a trooper....we wanted after dark shots, which meant we were shooting until after midnight, but he did great! Sharing a few shots from the back of my camera (and some fun outtakes and throwback shots) to commemorate the occasion until I have time to edit some properly. So grateful for friends who believed in me and inspired my love of photography, despite my lack of skills back then. Hard to believe my first newborn is about to graduate! Very proud of the young man he's become. Keep chasing your dreams, Treston!

Help, I can't walk in my studio!! I've been accused of being a chair hoarder and...it might be true. But Mom and I are going down to part time, and we need some space to walk in the studio. I am doing a huge destash sale this Saturday, and will have the leftovers on a Junk Jaunt sale next week. I have a ton of backdrops, prop, furniture, antique pieces, bowls, clothes, and a few pieces of equipment that we are selling. If you can't make it on Saturday, give me a shout, I will be in town all week and would be happy to do a private appointment! Please help me de-clutter my space!
