Incredible display of "Beyond Walls" by at Boom Island Park in NE Minneapolis.

Cooling off in Iceland ❄️
The 90+ degree weather at home makes me miss the brisk winds of my Iceland trip last January. Here's a few more images that I haven't had a chance to post earlier in the year 👌🏻

Thanks to everyone who came out to visit and purchase my prints at for this year's Art-A-Whirl last weekend! These are the selects that sold the most (even sold out). It was amazing seeing a significant difference to what everyone was choosing this time around compared to previous years. And that's one of the many reasons why I love participating at events like Art-A-Whirl — each year can be different, each customer has an unique emotional connection to a piece of art that maybe wouldn't have happened last year. This is literally what art is all about, and I'm super grateful to continue doing what I love, no matter how little I get to do this these days.

Also biggest hugs to the fellow artists who inspire me to keep going

and many more artists & vendors

One moment in time to just gaze at the stars, to hit pause on everything except for this moment, to get lost and found in colors. Just be.

A lot of life changes are happening and I'm excited to be opening up more time to capture more colors of the north shore and many beautiful landscapes in the Midwest later this year!

Also excited to announce I'll be returning to this year's Art-A-Whirl weekend event at the amazing May 15th–17th. Brand new matted prints and metal displays of some favorites and new/unseen landscape imagery of Minnesota, Michigan, Greater Yellowstone area, and Iceland, as well as A TON of new bird photography. Looking forward to be back with amazing people and sharing my most passionate photography with you all again soon!

Cotton candy hour at Mount Kirkjufell and the frozen Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall.

It's 2010, and I just bought my first camera (Canon T1i) with financial aid refund money while getting my degree in graphic design. I'm snapping random photos of trees, lakes, paths, shapes, lines, objects framing subjects... then all of a sudden...stories. I'm hooked. Next thing I know, I'm in an intro to photography class, 8am-1pm on Fridays, being immersed and learning manual settings. I'm given a homework assignment: to photograph a waterfall by shooting a series of multiple shutter speeds, while keeping a neutral exposure (0) in each photo. I decide to try it at a little waterfall by St. Olaf College in my dad's hometown of Northfield, MN. I think I made magic. My waterfall image just won me an A, not just for the assignment, but for my final grade (scroll ➡️ to the last pic). As an undiagnosed adhd neurodivergent with endless supplies of anxiety and confusion, receiving an A in a college course... what the actual f***? Now I'm really hooked. 2012. Looking at famous waterfalls around the world, and I see this beautiful waterfall near an arrow head shaped mountain. Bucket listed. Dreaming I could someday be a good enough graphic designer / photographer and be able to explore such a beautiful place like Iceland.

2026. January. I finally flew to Iceland. I found that beautiful waterfall near the arrow head shaped mountain. 40 mph winds. My tripod is mirroring the exact angled position to photograph my shutter speed brackets. Taking it all in... right before I go back in time and tell something to my younger self that is full of bruises, anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, doubts, yet full of hope...

Don't give up.

New Hope Vibes

This morning's sunrise over Duluth had me reflect on my conversation with the mayor of Duluth and the marketing manager of last night about an impactful tool during this extremely difficult time in Minnesota.... even though there's was a dark introduction to the new year, it is okay to share a little bit of light and beauty to balance the rage. This morning's beautiful sunrise is a reminder that I might not be able to make as big of an impact to my community in Minneapolis, but if I can provide what I do best, to shine some colors and light for those who need a break from the terror of today's IG feeds, and another reminder of how beautiful Minnesota is.

The winter nights with 60+ mph winds in Iceland are truly, incredibly mesmerizing.

Just 10 days too early from catching the Kp9 storm happening tonight, but it was still an absolutely amazing experience to witness the aurora borealis come alive in another country.

Captured with the Insta360 X5 | Big shout out to for making such an absolute beast of a 360 camera to weather such high winds.

Thanks Destination Duluth ! 💚💙💜
