Last evening I finally got back out with my camera to Chesterton’s volleyball matchup vs. Crown Point. Hadn’t picked up my camera in nearly 4 months so I was a little rusty at first but then was right back in it. Hopefully I’m going to follow these ladies for one more year before I move on to my career. Hoping for a great season!

Took a trip out to New Carlisle Indiana today for some action on the NS Chicago Line and just like in Chesterton, the rush hour didn’t disappoint. Lots of trains rolled through but the big catch was NS 28X with Norfolk Southern 4004 (AC44C6M) leading the way. NS 4004 wears a different design than the regular NS locomotives as 4004 has grey paint from the middle to rear of the locomotive. Kind of hard to see here as I caught it without any idea of it coming.

The final game I attended last Saturday was back home at Chesterton for Chesterton’s scrimmage against Munster. Not many pictures here but the season still hasn’t even started yet. Along with PNW, I’ll be following Chesterton’s men and women varsity teams this season so let’s hope for some great stuff along the way. Onward Trojans!

The Purdue University Northwest men’s basketball team took on Northwood University this past Saturday. Definitely an action packed game and most definitely a step on from high school ball. They battled till the end but came up short with a final score of 73-89. I’ll be back at PNW this Tuesday with another 2 basketball games, both men and women then hopefully taking a trip to Lake Central High School on Wednesday for the lady trojans basketball matchup.

Finally got back on the court this last Saturday and I was in for a long one. I covered 3 different basketball games, 2 being at Purdue Northwest and 1 back home at Chesterton. First up were the women at PNW who took on Judson University. Overall a really good game with the women coming out with the win, 93-51. Super excited for basketball to get underway so stay tuned for lots of basketball shots over the next couple of months!

This past weekend I attended the Regional matchup with the lady trojans taking on Penn High School. From start to end, the environment was awesome to be in. I can say this was probably the best sporting event that I ever photographed since starting this hobby. The ladies started off well winning the first 2 games in the best of 5 but Penn would ultimately come back and beat the ladies, ending their historic run. It was an honor to meet so many Chesterton fans throughout the season, I appreciate you all! I’ll be back in Chesterton tomorrow night for the Sectional match with Chesterton taking on Michigan City. Onward Trojans!

A very very very short consist rolls down track 2 of the NS Chicago Line with a Norfolk Southern Dash-9 (9933) in the lead. Passing CP 483 in Porter, the crew continues west for industrial part of Northwest Indiana.

The ladies have done it! After 47 years, the sectional trophy is back at Chesterton for the girls volleyball team. So much action and emotion was captured on Saturday night as well! The trojans will be back in action at Regionals next Saturday at Laporte as they take on Penn at 7pm. Onward Trojans!
