Congratulations to Luke & Cassie! I'm pretty sure Cassie booked me maybe two years ago for their wedding and then things came up and they had to postpone. Although, due to medical issues, I've not been shooting much, I still of course chose to photograph their wedding (when you book two years in advance how could you not).
This day was literally an emotional rollercoaster and I legit cried almost the entire day! Yes, the photographer cried with the bride and probably the entire crowd all day!
Cassie's father, who was supposed to walk her down the aisle, was diagnosed and hospitalized the week of her wedding with Covid. Also, a handful of people who flew in for her wedding were not able to come due to the virus as well. Little did Cassie know, it was arranged that her father was still going to walk her down the aisle, just not physically. I'm pretty sure there was not one dry eye in the crowd.
My cheeks hurt for days from laughing hysterically, crying so hard I had to turn away at times and shivering due to the fact in typical WI fashion it was 32 degrees with wind gusts so awful it brought 75 degree weather the following week!
It was truly a wonderful day
