Been a minute since I shot just for fun — not for a client, not for a deadline, just for me.
Finally added a couple dream lenses to the kit and took the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 out for a test run. I’ve been wanting this lens for years, and it did not disappoint.
I tried out a technique called focus bracketing which I learned a while back and am excited to try and master it. Focus bracketing is where you capture multiple shots at different focus points and blend them together — and I’m blown away by the detail and depth it brings out.
Even better, I got to spend the whole day out shooting with my wife who was testing out the other new lens — the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8. We wandered around chasing light, textures, and little photo moments wherever we could find them.
Felt good to slow down, shoot for myself, and just get lost in it again. Not for work, not for a client — just creating for the fun of it. Exactly what I needed.
Let me know which one stands out to you. Can’t wait to keep pushing this new gear and see where it takes us.
