Well, I can honestly say that I haven’t posted on this account in donkey’s years, which is one of my favorite expressions here in Ireland 🙂 It’s been so long, mostly because I stopped doing my own weddings and transitioned to travel-based photography when I moved here. I have started posting photography work on my personal page lately, which is silly, so I’m resurrecting this old page for the craic! Here is a session I did this past summer for the company I work for, Flytographer.

For those who don’t know what Flytographer is, here’s a scenario that will explain it: you are going to Dublin with your partner or family. You know you want to have some family photos done while you’re there, but if you Google “Dublin
photographer”, you’d get about 500 options. Flytographer will show up close to the top of the Google search, and when you select Dublin as your destination, you’ll find photographers who have been vetted by Flytographer, who have awesome reviews you can read as you scan through their portfolios. You can then request a session with the photographer of your choosing, and bam! The best souvenir you could possibly take home. The whole process is so easy and seamless, and you get your photos within 3 days. I love working for them so much that I’ve actually done four Flytographer sessions of my own when off on different travels.

Y’all, I am thrilled to say that one year after launching Galway, Ireland as a city, I have now launched Burlington, VT! Of course, it wasn’t hard to convince what a great city this would be to photograph in... between the twinkling lights of Church Street and the sparkly waters of Lake Champlain, everyone who’s ever visited Burlington knows how magical it can be! We get the leaf peepers in the fall, the skiers in the winter, and the festival-goers, hikers and water sports fanatics in the summer... we’re a city that loves locals and tourists alike, and I’m so excited to continue my career in Burlington! Here goes my shameless plug for the .... I LOVE THIS PLACE MORE THAN I CAN EVER SAY! It holds a special significance in my heart for reasons I will not bore people with, but over the years it’s been the only place that I have ever bought wool products from. Seriously, I will not buy from any other woolen mill in Ireland, even though I’ve been told there are better brands. I love everything I own from there and I love that they have expanded off Inishmore and now have a shop in Galway (and Killarney and Dublin as well!). I can’t be the only one, either... I met so many tourists when I was living in Ireland who were going over to Inishmore simply to buy their Irish sweaters! It’s a very typical thing to do on your Irish holiday, and I love cozying up with all my sweater market purchases. Okay, shameless plug over... I promise I don’t get a kick back for that 😂 Shot for ✈️📷

Sitting here watching the snow fall with the candles burning... I was all hyped for the snow and now I’m cold and dreaming of warmer Irish evenings 😊 I wanted to share my last Galway shoot, with Jillian and her family. Jillian and her sister treated their parents to an anniversary photo shoot while they were in Ireland this summer, and I had so much fun with this friendly, well-coordinated crew! The last Caty on my list... my friend Caty from college! Caty has more relatives in Ireland than she does in the states, and we’ve had some good times together meeting up in Ireland over the years. Crazy to think that just two over years ago we went to the matchmaking festival together... and this year when she arrived in Ireland, she brought her husband with her! She met Brian in Florida right after that matchmaking festival experience (to be fair, she deserves credit for giving guys a chance after that, I was ready to head straight for the convent lol). Anyways, she and Brian came to Ireland in July for their honeymoon, and we did a couple of pictures in Galway before eating a fabulous dinner together ❤️

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I actually have always loved Thanksgiving so much more than Christmas. For me, it feels so much less consumer-driven than Christmas; it’s really a holiday to focus on the people we love and what we are thankful for, without all the stress of gift-giving 🤪 I am thankful for so much this year, but professionally, I have to say that I am most grateful that I became a and had the opportunity to continue my photography work while living in Ireland. I love this company like no other and the people I got to meet and hang out with through were nothing short of amazing. Seriously, so much love for every couple and family I got to meet in Galway. They made me feel so thankful for every single moment I got to spend with them, and they reminded me about how special Ireland is on those days when I thought the sideways blinding rain would finally break me 😂 clients always have the option to share or not share their photos, so while there are a few shoots I won’t be able to share publicly, here’s one photo of each of the rest of my shoots. I’ve been posting a lot of family photos on here the past couple of days with the whole group, but I always break up the groups into couples, siblings, etc, so that client’s galleries have a lot of variety! And I love love love when clients send me photos of my pictures up in their homes... it’s such a great feeling as a photographer to know your work is being cherished that way.
