First wedding of the season is in the books!

Huge congrats to and . What an incredible day it was and I’m honored you chose me to document it for you.

And dayummmm Caeli, THAT DRESS!

Big thanks to all the staff at in Manchester, VT for letting me run around like crazy for the day and supporting me with whatever we needed to get the shot. And that we did!

And to Nate and Caeli’s families and friends, both the ones I already knew and to those that were new to me - y’all are lovely. It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you.

Though not shown in this little set of shots, I need to add that as far as wedding bands go, takes the cake. Then they share it with everyone and no one goes away hungry. They absolutely slayed.

“The Jesse Taylor Band have been hard at work with producer Jer C***s (Madaila), recording the follow-up to their 2021 EP Ever-Changing. The Burlington band is releasing Feel Everything in June and just put out the first single from the album, “Procrastination Queen.”

The song is a midtempo rocker featuring Taylor lamenting her inability to get things done, while also forgiving herself for living in the moment. “Sometimes I forget what I like to do / until I’m doing it,” Taylor sings on the track. “Sometimes I forget what makes me feel good / until I’m feeling good again.”

The tune is available at jessetaylor.bandcamp.com, and the band plays an album release show on June 6 at the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge in South Burlington.”

I am always left with a strong feeling of catharsis when I get to be involved in a collective “F**k you I won’t do what you tell me” moment.

My first show ever was at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg MA in 1996 during the Evil Empire tour. I had my first experience with that level of group connectedness and the realization of the true power of music and personal expression. These things left me with a vision and a path ahead. That night I began to accept who I really was and began to be ok with how i really wanted to live, regardless of how it didn’t align with the expectations set for me, but not by me.

Music saved me from a life i didn’t want, that’s the long and short of it. I know that 16 year me would be stoked at the life i’ve built and how i spend my days. I don’t know if i would have had the courage to if not for making my way to the front row and having that epiphany gifted to me from that huge stage and all the people behind me in that arena.
