One of the things I love most about second shooting is the freedom it gives you to push your creative boundaries. A few weeks back in Grafton I was second shooting with , and when the first dance started, he told me to just go do something cool since he had the standard coverage completely handled.
It is always awesome when another photographer trusts you to step outside the box and try something a little different. Having that space to experiment with the light is exactly how some of my favorite frames happen.
This is the shot I ended up with from that moment, and I am so glad I had the freedom to chase it.

There is a massive difference between just documenting how a wedding day looks and capturing how it actually felt. To me the visual details are only the surface of the story. The real narrative lives in the raw emotion, the tears of relief, the uncontainable joy, and the loud, unscripted laughter that fills the room.

I’ve always wanted to dig deeper than just checking the standard boxes on a timeline. I want to capture the full scope of the day, because the emotions are what give the story its soul. It is about staying present enough to notice the quiet exhale before the ceremony, the tight embrace between old friends, and the moments where people completely let their guard down.
When you look back at your photos years from now, I don’t just want you to remember what the venue looked like. I want you to be pulled right back into the exact feeling of that moment. That’s the kind of storytelling that lasts.

Today is all about celebrating the incredible heart and dedication that mothers bring to every single day. In my work I see it most clearly in the quiet moments of a wedding morning or the proud look during a ceremony. It is a kind of love that is selfless and constant and it is a privilege to capture those small interactions that often go unseen.
To all the mothers out there thank you for the endless support and the way you hold everything together. Your presence is the foundation of so many of the stories I tell through my camera. Whether it is a shared laugh while getting ready or a tearful hug after the first dance these are the moments that truly matter.
Wishing a beautiful day to all the moms who make the world a little softer and a lot stronger.

It feels so good to finally kick off engagement session season. We spent a great afternoon exploring the cliffs and trails around Rock Point, and it was the perfect way to get back into the swing of things. I love these sessions because they give us a chance to just wander and find the light without the pressure of a wedding day timeline.
I am already looking forward to heading over to this summer to celebrate with them. There is something about a summer wedding that always brings out the best energy, and after seeing how these two interact, I know it is going to be an incredible day.
If you are looking to get your own engagement session on the calendar for this spring or summer, I am currently booking dates across Vermont and New England. Let’s go find a spot that actually feels like you.

There is something about a black and white dance floor that just feels timeless. When the formalities are finished and the party actually starts, the energy in the room shifts into something completely unscripted. I love capturing these high-motion moments where the flash hits just right and everyone is completely lost in the music.

If you are planning an epic party for your 2027 wedding and want a photographer who can keep up with that kind of energy, now is the time to reach out. I am currently opening up the calendar for 2027 dates across Vermont and New England.

Let’s make sure your reception looks exactly how it felt to be right in the middle of the crowd!

It is an incredible honor to share that I’ve just been awarded four more Silver Awards from , officially moving me into the #2 spot on the Global Leaderboard!

To my amazing couples: thank you for trusting me with your vision and your memories. Your energy and willingness to experiment allow me to push the boundaries of creative wedding photography every single weekend. These awards are as much a reflection of your trust as they are of my work.

A huge thank you to the team and the judges and for the recognition. It is a privilege to be ranked among such talented photographers worldwide.

None of these shots would be possible without the gear that handles the pressure. Huge shoutout to for the light control, for the flash power, and stands for keeping everything rock solid on location.

As the wedding season gets into full swing within the next month, I am beyond excited to see what we can create together in 2026!

I call this part of the day the Hug-a-thon. It is that window of time immediately after the ceremony when the anticipation and relief finally wash over everyone. The congratulations begin and the tears start to flow.

To me this is the most honest part of a wedding day. It is a time of pure joy between parents, grandparents, the wedding party, and closest friends. There are no poses and no directions. It is just a series of 100% unscripted, real emotions that happen when the gravity of the moment finally sinks in.

As a documentary wedding photographer, this is my favorite part of the day to capture. These are the frames that fill in the true story of the wedding. They are the moments you cannot plan for but they are the ones that make your history unique.

These are the memories that stay with you long after the day is over.

It feels like documentary wedding photography has become a bit of a buzzword lately and the definition seems to change depending on who you ask.

To me it is about so much more than just being there for the scheduled highlights like the first kiss or the first dance. While those moments are essential to the day I believe the real story lives in the unexpected frames that most people do not even notice.

It is about capturing the quiet interactions and the unscripted energy that fill in the gaps of the story. That is what makes a wedding day feel authentic and unique to the couple. My goal is to find those honest moments that make the day true to what it actually felt like to be there.

These black and white frames are a few random moments captured throughout the 2024 season.

I have always been drawn to the way people naturally gather around a fire to share time together. There is a specific kind of energy that happens in those moments when the world gets dark and everyone moves closer to the glow. As a photographer, it gives me a chance to step back and get creative with the light. I love finding the balance between capturing those literal human connections and playing with the more abstract shapes the flames create. It is one of those rare times where the atmosphere does most of the storytelling for me.

When a quick stroll by the pond turns into a rainy elopement dream, that is exactly when the magic happens. It is all about the moment you decide to trust your photographer and lean into the elements. No matter what mother nature gives you, there is a certain kind of beauty that only shows up when you embrace the Vermont weather. This is what it looks like to just be present and let the day happen as it was meant to be.
