🇺🇸 BURKBURNETT, THIS IS OUR MOMENT 🇺🇸

We always say this town takes care of its own.
Right now—we get to prove it.

This is Ashley Nettles.

She’s part of our community.
And every single day… she walks 2 HOURS to work and 2 HOURS back home.

Four hours.
On foot.
In Texas heat, wind, and cold.

Ashley was in a serious car accident when she was young that left her with a lifelong disability…
but she still shows up. Every day. No excuses.

That kind of grit?
That’s small-town strong.

But here’s the truth—
she shouldn’t have to do this alone.

We’re coming together as a community to get Ashley an electric 3-wheel bike so she can get to work safely and finally have some relief.

This is bigger than a bike.
This is Burkburnett showing who we are.

Thursday.
Gary’s down with the flu today — laid up, slow sippin’, and takin’ it easy.

No trails to chase, no big plans to push through. Just rest, patience, and lettin’ the day be what it is. Shady’s posted up close by, keepin’ watch like a good nurse does.

Some Thursdays are for movin’ forward.
Others are for slowin’ down so you can come back stronger.

Listen to your body. The trail will still be there tomorrow. 🐾

Wednesday. Hump Day. 🐪

You might not see the camel at first glance… but he’s there. Lurkin’ just off the trail, remindin’ us we’re right in the middle of the week.

Shady’s already dialed in — nose to the ground, focused on what’s ahead, not worried about what’s hiding in the background. Guess that’s the trick to gettin’ through Wednesday.

Keep movin’. Stay curious. And don’t let the hump slow you down — it just means you’re halfway there. 🐾

Tuesday, January 13.
The hidden trails don’t announce themselves.

They don’t have big signs or well-worn paths. You find them by slowing down, paying attention, and trusting that quiet nudge to step just a little off the main road.

Shady’s already figured that out. Nose down, ears up — she knows the good stuff is never right out in the open.

Maybe that’s the lesson for today. Not everything worth finding is obvious. Some things are meant to be discovered, not displayed.

Here’s to hidden trails and the courage to follow them.

Shady’s on the trail of hearts that keep poppin’ up. ❤️🐾

Every few steps, there’s another one — like the path itself is tryin’ to tell us something. Her nose stays to the ground, tail-less and focused, locked in on whatever adventure’s waiting ahead.

Funny how the best journeys don’t always start with a map. Sometimes they start with curiosity, a good companion, and a trail that feels a little bit special.

Wherever this one leads, we’re followin’ it together.

New week. Same trail… just seeing it a little clearer now.

Some days you’re chasing something new. Other days you realize you’ve been right where you needed to be all along. The path doesn’t always change — but you do.

Shady’s ready to go, ears up, eyes forward, no hesitation at all. Guess that’s the lesson for the week: pick a direction, trust your footing, and don’t overthink the next step.

Monday doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful. Sometimes it just needs a good trail and the willingness to follow it. 🐾
