Southern Roots Photography I started out playing with a camera at a young age, I always loved capturing memories. I have two step children named Brileigh & Carter.

✨Hi, I would like to reintroduce myself for the new people, and also to those of you who know me but may be a little confused.✨
✨My name is Danica Jones (Barrois) I am a wife, step mama, and photographer. As I’m growing older and older I’m realizing pictures will be the only thing left in the end. I’ve watched loved ones pass and I’ve always wished I had a million more pictures of them.✨
✨I am l

iving my life married to my best friend. I am a “stay at home step momma” & I’m so thankful that my husband has given me the opportunity to do what I love. I am truly blessed✨
✨My passion is to take pictures, whether it be outdoors or indoors. I like to capture the MOMENT.✨
✨For those of you that know me, YES this is “Morning Star Photography” I’ve decided to change my business name. I chose morning Star at a younger age, when I was just starting with my camera and I feel like I needed something new, something more “ME”. Instead of morning Star I have changed the name to Southern Roots. I did this because of course, it has a ring to it, and also because I am from the most southern part of Louisiana. Eventually I will go more into depth about that, but for now, I will leave it as that.✨
✨Thank y’all for standing with me as I learn more about my camera, lenses, and programs. I have tons of ideas, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you!✨

I plan to host a “Back to School” mini session, with an old school desk, as well as other props… ✏️ 🌎

but I need your opinions before I can set dates, times, and locations ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

➡️ Option 1: I set up in Purvis one weekend, and Lumberton the next weekend.
➡️ Option 2: I set up at my address, and everyone can meet in the middle.
(I live 15 minutes away from each town).
