I was honored to photograph the great Reverend Jesse Jackson in Chicago years before his passing. His life was a living call to courage, sacrifice, and unwavering advocacy for our people.
This is a time to grieve—but also a time to reflect. Great leaders leave more than memories; they leave assignments. Our community mourns, and in that mourning we must also recognize the responsibility before us. There is a vacancy that cannot remain empty.
May his legacy challenge each of us to rise, to stand, and to carry forward the work.
