When you have a last minute cancellation before a studio marathon, you don’t let the studio time go to waste 😉

This year has been a whirlwind, and that feels like a massive understatement. I haven’t had much time to sit with my thoughts uninterrupted—outside of long car rides—and pour myself into creative pursuits.

I haven’t had much time to get creative with my photography, paint, or write for pleasure.
I miss it. I crave it.

I move to Tallahassee in a few weeks to begin my Masters in Philosophy at FSU and I am going to try to be more intentional about keeping the balance (I haven’t found a successful recipe yet, but it’s got be out there).

It’s so easy to become inundated with work, school, and social obligations. It’s hard to stay in relation to yourself when you are in relation to countless other people and pursuits.

But coming back to your own voice, identity, hopes, desires, dreams, and creation is so essential for the good life.

Here’s to hoping we all find a little more time for ourselves, and to use that time reflectively and honestly.

Here’s to hoping I get back to painting, writing, singing, and creation.
