Hi there. My name is Gianna. Welcome to Koselig (koosh-lee). After a year or so in the making and trying to come up with a business name I knew what I wanted it to represent but couldn't find the perfect word. While embracing my Norwegian heritage I came across the word koselig. PERFECTION! I found the perfect name. Koselig does not have a direct translation into English but the closest word would be cozy. Koselig is the inner warmth you feel being by a fire in winter, the feeling you have being with friends, the feeling you get when slipping into an oversized sweatshirt and warm wool socks, the feeling of contentment, the feeling of being all warm and cozy under a blanket under the stars at night. All of these things are things I wanted to represent in our clothing, while embracing a part of my heritage. I am not new to the selling aspect of clothing, as my mother has been selling costumes and personalized clothing for years and I have touched on it by making shirts and sweatshirts for family and friends.
