“How do I choose who gets to be a bridesmaid?” 💍💐
Here’s my advice: choose the people you want beside you, not the people you feel like you have to include.
Ask yourself:
Who has been influential in your relationship with your fiancé?
Who has shaped you and encouraged you throughout your life?
Who has played an important role in your faith?
Who has been there through the best seasons, the hardest seasons, the ugly-cry moments, the late-night talks, and everything in between?
And remember: there is no age limit. Your bridal party doesn’t have to fit a certain mold. It could be your best friend from college, your sister, your mom, your aunt, a childhood friend, or someone who has spiritually poured into your life for years.
Your bridal party also doesn’t have to be huge or perfectly even. And if there are people you love dearly but don’t necessarily see standing beside you at the altar, consider asking them to be a personal attendant! It’s such a meaningful way to honor someone and have them involved in your wedding day without putting them in the traditional bridal party.
At the end of the day, choose the people who have a meaningful place in your story and who you genuinely cannot imagine getting married without 🤍
Because years from now, when you look back at your wedding photos, you’ll want to see the people who weren’t just part of your wedding day, but part of your story.
