Pro Tip: When it’s time for the wedding dress to go on, it’s time to put the white gloves away.
Hear me out. I’m not telling a bride she should trash her dress, but I am telling a bride to LIVE in her dress.
🛍 As the wedding day approaches, we are taught to keep it in the bag. Don’t let it get wrinkled. Don’t you dare let it touch the ground. Protect that girl like she’s the Mona Lisa behind sealed walls in the Louvre.
I appreciate the efforts, but when it’s time to put that precious on, it’s then time to let that dress shine on the ONE day she’s alive.
🌿We’re going to frolic in fields with it.
🌆 We’re going to prance down the city streets in it.
🪩 We’re even going to whip her around to let that p**f in the twirl DANCE.
You bought it for a reason, and I want to photograph her in her full glory with movement. If you have dirt on your dress, it means you did it right and gave your dress life. And, of course, we got some epic s**t in camera.
Now, the dirt I speak of is found on the majority of the UNDER layer. The part no one can see. That’s normal! We are careful to not blemish the top layer, and it’s always at your own comfort level. And I assure you, what you see, a guest or a photograph cannot.
🪡 Now I will say it’s a good idea for your bustle to be designed to not showcase the under layer, as it’s natural for the insides to not be in perfect appearance 5 hours into walking around in white on sidewalks.
Your dress wants to dance with somebody — let her!
