Today MLB celebrates the 21st annual Roberto Clemente Day commemorating his passing almost 50 years ago. On December 31, 1972 Roberto Clemente was killed in a plane crash while on his way to deliver emergency supplies to an earthquake-ravaged Nicaragua. This is a favorite photo from my collection with Roberto and Cubs Hall of Famer Ernie Banks. Circa 1970?

Mourning the loss of Queen Elizabeth II. She and Billy Graham had a wonderful friendship and had the opportunity to meet more than a dozen times. TDAG was very privileged to oversee the digitization of these valuable images.

People often don't realize how influential and popular Billy Graham was throughout his lifetime. This post exemplifies his draw. In 1972 Billy Graham sold out 5 NIGHTS of 12,500 people with overflow at the Charlotte Coliseum - a total of over 62,500. Elvis sold out only one show. The Digital Archive Group is proud to be a part of preserving and digitizing the legacy of Billy Graham. Looking forward to the opening of the Billy Graham Archive and Library this summer in Charlotte.

WOW, how time flies. 8 years ago, we were at Harpo Studios digitizing Oprah Winfrey's archival materials and creating her legacy digital archive. Today that building is gone and in its place is the McDonald's Worldwide HQ.

I want to give a shoutout to my amazing team of Archivists and Image Technicians at The Digital Archive Group. We just completed a large job for a legacy client digitizing over 70 years of film negatives. The project totaling over 1 million negatives was completed in less than 10 months, averaging image capture of 7,500 negatives per day. Project highlights include:

- Negative preparation and air dusting pre-capture
- High-resolution digitization with 100 megapixel digital back cameras
- Image cropping and color correction
- Embedding of descriptive metadata
- Processing files into both JPEG and TIFF file formats
- Management and file transfer of over 330 terabytes of data
