Did you know your impulse to squish or bite those delectable toes, fingers, and cheeks actually has a NAME? It's called "cute aggression!" I know you're probably feeling a little helpless watching your partner running the postpartum gauntlet. Sometimes you might feel like there's not a lot you can do, but I promise the simplest things make a big difference for her. Make sure mama has a full water tumbler and good food. Take on diaper duty. And most importantly, take that baby for some snuggle time so mama can enjoy a well earned nap!

I've been sitting on this session because there were just TOO many images to pick from. I had the honor of photographing the lifestyle newborn session for a lifelong friend. How incredibly special to grow up with someone and then witness them raise a beautiful family of their own. This baby girl is extra lucky to have four big brothers to always watch over her.
