Some sessions are about feeling sexy.
+ some are about looking at yourself + realizing, holy s**t… I f*cking made it here.

This wasn’t her first time in front of my camera.
But this one felt different.
Because since the last time I photographed her, she has fought like hell for herself.

She walked away from so much unhealthy things in her life.
She chose better.
She started rebuilding a life that actually feels like hers.
She poured into herself physically, found strength in more ways than one.
Has worked incredibly hard to become stronger in her own body.

But this isn’t a before-and-after story.

It’s a look at “everything I had to conquer to become this version of me” story.
+ she did. 👏

She showed up.
She let herself take up space.
She let herself be seen.

I think that’s what I love most about photographing women more than once.

You’re never the same woman who stood in front of my camera the last time.

Sometimes you come back softer.
Sometimes louder.
Sometimes healing.
Sometimes stronger.
Sometimes with a whole f*cking chapter behind you that nobody looking at the photograph could ever know.

+ sometimes the woman standing in front of my camera isn’t celebrating how she looks.
She’s celebrating everything it took to still be standing there.

And before you start thinking you need to go buy an entirely new personality from Amazon — you don’t.

Some of the best s**t you can bring is probably already in your closet.

The old band tee.
His button-up.
The heels you bought for absolutely no reason.
The bodysuit you’ve never had anywhere appropriate to wear.
The jewelry that makes you feel expensive.
Something sentimental.
Something a little fu***ng ridiculous.

Because I’m not trying to make you look like every other woman I photograph.

I want you to look at these photos and think, “Yep. That bitch is ME.”

“I don’t know how to pose.”

Perfect. I’d actually rather you didn’t. 😂

Please don’t spend the week before your session standing in front of the mirror trying to figure out what to do with your hands. Don’t save 47 poses on Pinterest. Don’t convince yourself you need to know your angles before you walk through my door.

That’s my job. :)

I’m going to tell you where to put your hands.
Where to look.
What to do with your chin.
Where to shift your weight.
When to arch.
When to breathe.
When to stop trying so damn hard.

+ half the time, I’m going to physically demonstrate it because apparently becoming a photographer also meant becoming a professional floor crawler. 😂

You don’t have to be photogenic.
You don’t have to be confident.
+you absolutely do not need to know how to pose.
Women come here to FIND + leave with confidence. No need to have it before you come in.

You just have to show up.

Because one of my favorite parts of what I do is watching someone walk in saying, “I’m going to be so awkward…”

…+ then watching her lose her absolute mind over the back of my camera 20 minutes later.

There’s a reason my girls look like they knew exactly what they were doing.

They didn’t. I did. Now they do.😉

So if “I wouldn’t know what to do” is the thing keeping you from booking with me…
Baby girl, that might actually be the worst reason to miss out.

Maybe you’re 26 + still trying to figure out who the hell you are.

Maybe you’re 30-something + realizing the life you built doesn’t quite fit the woman you’ve become.

Maybe you’re a mom who can’t remember the last time she did something that had absolutely nothing to do with being needed by someone else.

Maybe you’re starting over after a divorce, learning how to exist outside of a relationship you thought would last forever.

Maybe you’re wildly in love.
Maybe you’re grieving.
Maybe you’re healing.

Maybe nothing is “wrong” at all — you just looked in the mirror recently + realized how quickly the years are moving.

That’s the thing about being a woman.
There is always another version of us arriving.
+I think we spend so much time waiting to celebrate her.

When I lose the weight.
When I feel more confident.
When the kids are older.
When life settles down.
When I’m dating again.
When I have someone to do this for.
When I finally feel like myself again.

But what if this version deserves to exist in photographs, too?
Not because she has everything figured out.
Because she lived it.

The twenty-something figuring herself out.
The mama buried underneath everyone else’s needs.
The woman rebuilding.
The woman falling in love with her life again.
The woman who finally feels at home in her body.
The woman who isn’t quite there yet, but is trying.

You don’t have to know who you’ll be in 2027 yet.
You just have to decide that somewhere in it, you’re going to choose her.
