“Where paths divide — from Columbia’s rivers to Glacier’s peaks.”

“Bridging worlds: a newly re-imagined Oregon tunnel meets the wild alpine soul of Glacier — complete with a watchful goat that knows these mountains as home. 🌲🏞️🐐”

“A tribute to travel, to nature, and to those breathtaking places that remind us how small we are — and how much is left to explore.”

Week 23: Suburban Wildlife 🦓

This week’s self-portrait is a playful peek into the wild side of suburbia! I dove back into my archives, sprinkled a bit of AI magic, and voilà: a whimsical zebra-masked moment right at my own doorstep.

Sometimes the adventure is just outside the front door—where the ordinary meets the extraordinary. Hope this little glimpse brings a smile and maybe a bit of inspiration to find the “wild” in your everyday too!

Self Portrait Challenge
Week 22 | Word: Photography

In poker, the “dead man’s hand” is a risky one — a reminder that you have to be all in if you want to win.
For me, that’s exactly what photography is. It’s sitting at the table with everything you have, chasing stories, light, and ideas, and going all in with creativity.

This week I wanted to play with that idea — a fun studio setup, a skeleton for a card partner, and me holding the infamous hand. Because in this challenge, and in my art, I’m willing to bet it all on the power of an image.

Photography isn’t just something I do. It’s the game I’m always ready to play

Week 22 -Nature

“The call of nature is not a whisper but a tide, pulling us back to where we belong.” 🌊✨

Nature has a way of grounding us, reminding us of the strength and beauty woven into every wave, every breath of wind, every moment we choose to listen. This week’s portrait is a reflection of that call — steady, guiding, and impossible to ignore.

“Unseen Blindness”

Week 21 – “Still Life”
In a world overflowing with noise, sometimes stillness becomes resistance.
This self-portrait explores the idea of blindness—not just the physical kind, but the kind that lives in our choices.
Blind to truth.
Blind to empathy.
Blind to what blooms right in front of us.

The flower represents the fragile beauty that endures even when unseen.
The blindfold reminds us of how often we choose to look away.

🕯️ Sometimes, being still isn’t about peace.
It’s about reckoning.

Creative Self portrait challenge. Week 20
“Touch.
But this… this is about grief.
It’s about longing for the warmth of a hand that will never return.
It’s about memories so vivid, they feel like skin on skin.
And it’s about the truth no one wants to admit—
grief doesn’t have an expiration date.”

This self-portrait came from a place of deep reflection and emotion.
Sometimes art becomes the only way to hold what can’t be held.

🌟 Keeper of the Stars 🌟
Week 19| Self-Portrait Challenge- Inspired by another Artist

Inspired by the incredible work of Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night, I wanted to create a piece that captures both wonder and connection to the universe. Standing under the Milky Way, I imagined what it would feel like to reach out and hold a star in my hand — to be the keeper of light, dreams, and infinite possibilities.

Every self-portrait in this challenge has been a journey of creativity and vulnerability, and this one reminded me that even in the vastness of the night sky, we each carry a spark that matters.

What would you hold onto if you could reach into the stars?

Week 18 – Botanical
“A little piece of heaven. “

For our anniversary, we ventured to Falls Creek Falls in Washington. The trail led us to this quiet little oasis, a place where the air was heavy with moss, ferns, and the song of water rushing nearby. It felt as though the forest itself was celebrating with us—offering a canopy of green and a reminder of how love, like nature, thrives when rooted and nurtured.

Standing among the botanicals, I felt grounded in both the moment and the journey we’re on together. These plants—resilient, ever-growing—mirrored the way love deepens with time: stretching toward the light, weathering storms, and still finding beauty in every season.

Week 15 – Joy
Title: Your Majesty

There are places that feel like they’ve been waiting for you.
This mountain — our mountain — holds a piece of my heart.
She stands with grace and power, always watching, always still.

I had the chance to visit her with a dear friend and fellow photographer, just as the wildflowers reached their peak. I brought my pink dress, not just for the color, but for the softness it carries — a contrast to the strength of the peaks, and a mirror to the joy I feel in these sacred spaces.

This image is called “Your Majesty”, because when I stand before her, I am reminded to move through life with reverence and light.

Week 14: Symbolic

“There are spirits in the trees, if you know how to listen.”

Week 14: Symbolic
“When the spirits awaken.”
A dear friend invited me to her cabin in Montana, and not far from the road, we stumbled on these trees—tall, still, watching. I knew immediately: this was sacred ground. The kind of place where stories live in the bark and the spirits hum beneath the pine.

At night, we returned with intention.

My friends helped paint light behind the trees—summoning forms that felt alive, like forest spirits coming forward to dance with me. I held my book, stepped barefoot into the clearing, and let the moment unfold. I moved with the silence, the shadows, and the stories we couldn’t see, but could feel all around us.

This image is a collaboration of imagination, light, and sisterhood. It speaks of unseen energy, magic in the everyday, and the way symbolic storytelling reveals itself when you slow down and listen.

🌊 Week 13 | Self Portrait Challenge
Theme: Self Portrait

This one came naturally to me. The ocean has always been a place of peace, freedom, and clarity—and this year, we spent our very first Fourth of July by the sea. 🇺🇸✨

As I stood barefoot in the sand, dressed in red, white, and blue, I felt completely at home. The rhythm of the waves mirrored the rhythm of my heart—a gentle celebration of independence, joy, and the beauty of simply being present.
